Stress, pressure, and overwhelm… no wonder you are tired!

stress-lets-break-upIt was 9 am, and I was already tired… No, correction: exhausted.

So I went back to bed, really curious what was the reason.

I asked and muscle tested questions…

I noticed that I was not breathing deeply: in fact I could not. The breath would not go through.

So I doubled up on the question: what is the cause of this inability to take a deep breath? Health, concerns, each individually, and all said no.

Then I asked: feeling under pressure… stress.

And yes, that was it.

I asked: do I have any reason to feel under pressure… and the answer was “no”.

In that very moment the breath came back, and the tiredness was gone… It is back now a little… as I am w

Self trust… a linchpin capacity… or how do you develop yourself to be able to move forward?

scared-to-take-the-next-stepMany of my coaching students are at a crucial point in their lives where unless something happens, they probably won’t move forward.

Fear, unclarity, self-centeredness, belligerence…

The main attitude is different. Not one person resembles another in what seems to block their path.

It’s the coach’s brilliance, creativity, insight that will either make a difference or not. What is clear is this: unless someone or something helps them through… they will stay this side of the great barrier.

Great responsibility, but I am up for it.

What is the capacity I need to be OK with this responsibility? It is self-trust. Self trust says: I can dea

How do you see yourself? how accurate is your self-image?

skiff ... are you in sync or out of sync with your self-image?The inner view and the outer view of who you are are vastly different. Your chances for success, love, happiness depend on the accuracy of your self-image. ((self-imĀ·age

the idea one has of one’s abilities, appearance, and personality.
“sickness is an affront to one’s self-image and dignity”))

Do you know that people see you differently than you see yourself? And both you and other people see you differently than you actually are.

You may see yourself worse or better or just plain different than you really are… and so do others.

Your life would work better if the two views were closer. You’d h

There is laziness and then there is lazy-ness. Is lazy learned helplessness?

3c9854ee298db856d690210de730d282This laziness thing came up again today.

During shopping. Is a fruit bowl worth the extra $3? It was 9.95, and it’s now 12.95… she says, and I have no idea how to answer. She has no idea what the weight of the fruit is, what the fruit would cost if you bought it and chopped it up yourself.

Just the question, out of context… is it worth it?

So what the heck is really this phenomenon: lazy, that is not lazy at all… but what is it really, if it is not actually lazy?

Conscious awareness is the best predictor of worldly success… your worth a damn factor is close second

classbart

To my surprise, people have no idea that their worth a damn factor has been neglected since they were little babies.

They get “encouragement” to not know that there is such a thing… and then they grow up to be seriously not worth a damn, and they suffer.

How does it work?

If you are consistently praised for being a good girl, a pretty girl, a smart girl… you’ll think that that is what there is to it. That is your ticket to the good life, to paradise.

happiness2But life does not work this

Opportunity favors the one who is prepared… or do things when they are easy

ff59a96Business, marketing, and other business things are not my favorite things to learn or do. Even though I come from a family where three out of five (I have two brothers) have MBAs, and my father was god of the topic in Hungary…

I gave up going for it one credit short: an enemy of my father would not let me pass an exam…

Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

~Thomas A. Edison

I don’t like these topics because they need organization, creating systems, and I am not good at them. I tighten up when I have to do things I am not good at.

I could learn to be good at them, but everything comes at a cost, time and brain cells taken away from what I am

A Manifesto Against ā€˜Parentingā€™

This is an article I snatched from the New York Times…

What you don’t know is this: you teach your children to color inside the lines, never experiment, never make mistakes, to live in fear, and to experience little. To not even experience what they experience. To be little soldiers that will make you look good, while you attempt to live your life and give as little attention to the kids as you can.

Hell on earth…

One one hand you are protective, on the other you neglect them… And then you fell guilty.

Just look back at your childhood. You are stunted, and your children are stunted.

This article explains some of why… some, not all.

In the article of my own that I will publish today (it’s not ready yet) I will add some more clarity.

Caring for children shouldn’t be like carpentry, with a finished product in mind. We should grow our children, like gardeners

It’s amazing how much you can get if you quietly, clearly, and authoritatively demand it…

stresscurve002_opt

Everybody dreams of a stress free life… even though stress wakes you up. Stress as in challenge. I am not talking about the anxiety where you are fighting what if scenarios… that will never happen.

My countryman, who worked in Canada, Selye Janos (aka Hans Selye), was an endocrinologist, who was the first to demonstrate the existence of biological stress.

Stress response, what stress can do to your body.

But in his groundbreaking book, “Stress without Distress” he showed that stress also keeps us alive.

The Juice Exercise: what gives you “juice” in life?

what-makes-life-juicyI have been coaching people for many years now. The goal was always to take people on a journey to become their best Self.

Now, the task is easier when someone knows who they are. When someone has a Self.

Most people don’t. They have a persona for each group they interact with, the family persona, the student persona, the friend, the gossiper, the entertainer, the this and the that.

Those personas (roles you play) are not you. They were created by a perceived demand in the circumstances, a perceived demand in the environment.

They leave you empty, they leave you being jerked by the

Why should you believe me? Why should you learn from me?

steve-jobsI have been a spiritual, raise-your-vibration teacher for a while… and when someone asked what qualified me to teach, I could say that the fact that I did it myself, and went from a vibration of 185 to 930, consciously and with my eyes open.

Now, having done that is fine and dandy… but can I teach it? Good question.

But let’s look at another area: health.

At some point I got really clear that unless you have energy to do the work, unless you have coherence to do the work, unless you are well enough… I can’t help you much.

But I had a problem, an integrity issue: I myself wasn’t well enough to prove to you that I kno
