Coaching that gets results vs. coaching that sounds so transformational!

Being a coach is easy if you have no idea what they are doing, because you have never done it.

You just do what everyone else does, and hope for the best.

A “normal” coach only knows what they learned. Tree of Knowledge. Not worthless, but not authentic.

Most coaches have a mixed bag: they did some things, and learned others.

And a master coach is someone who not only has done it, but has done it successfully… and has produced success.

I have never played team sports… I am an introvert, and I also hate competing with my own team mates. So no, I have never done team sports…

On Tithing and The Law of Attraction

TithingTithing is a voluntary contribution. It is a giving back where you got your spiritual nourishment, your inspiration. It is keeping the blessing in movement. It is an expression of your abundance regardless of the circumstance, so it is also a state of mind creator. It has its roots in the Jewish mitzva (commandment) of leaving the edges of a cultivated land unharvested so the poor can come and collect the food. The Jewish long sideburn is a reminder of the mitzva, and tithing has some relationship to it with the Christian twist of where to give back.

I have found that tithing is a great activator of the Law of Attraction. Especially if you give often, and with the right mindset. According to Kabbalah the right mindset is a kind of spiritual or enlightened greed, give hungry for your own growth and your own enlightenment, and not from do-gooding. do-gooding is from

What is your Self, your Dharma? Can you find it? Can you define yourself?

I have been doing a lot of work while I seemingly do nothing… or not much. Something is driving me… I used to say it this way: “I can’t do no other”… I am very fond of weirdly worded things, because they poke a hole in the cultural fabric and allow things to be seen …

Mindfulness? No. Meditation? No. Meditative living? Yes

It was my shopping day yesterday… Through bad design, I have my webinars on the same day as my shopping day. And yesterday I felt creamed by the experience. I dragged myself through, slept like a baby, but I am …

How do you know if you have a fixed mindset or a growth mindset? And how do you get out of the fixed mindset, really?

I doesn’t matter what you think you believe. I am starting to notice that what you say you believe is one thing, what you actually believe is expressed a lot more truthfully in your actions and in your reactions. One … Continue reading “How do you know if you have a fixed mindset or a […]

Why your brain doesn’t make you a winner… Or is your brain to blame?

I just had one of the most productive Sunday Rant call ever… and I just finished the third book in the Freak series, Think Like a Freak. Because it is about thinking, and because it is about frames it is … Continue reading

The invisible distinction that defines your consciousness

We look at life through the space we locate ourselves in. When you go home for the holidays, you have a space inside which you interact with your mother. You have a space inside which you interact with your father, … Continue reading

Want the good life? Use the Edge effect. Finding your niche where you can win. living life creatively

theodore-roosevelt-quoteYou want the good life… Creating the good life, health, wealth, love and happiness, will require creativity from you… ((This is the biggest difference between the age of The American Dream and today… then some work was enough… today just work is not enough.))

The opposite of creativity is timidness. ((And cowardice, and complacency, and having your hand out, and hoping that other people will do it for you. Am I describing you?))

Creativity is living at risk… Existential courage. ((Existential Courage

Do you know what no feelings mean? You are dead…

cultural differences. in the west people take pictures, in Japan they move the train.

Do you know what no feelings mean? You are dead… While you are alive life is ups and downs, good feelings, bad feelings, neutral feelings.

The fact that you can’t feel your feelings doesn’t mean they aren’t there…

Yesterday was a weird day.

First I fell victim to taking things personally. I’d like to say it was funny, but taking things personally is not fun.

The whole day passed without a single email, and also without most of my regular clients and students visiting my site. I was checking.

Late afternoon I started to contemplate that I have lost my customers.

Then I look

Why do we have an ego, and how can we make it really useful? You don’t have any part that is not useful!

he-who-doesnt-laugh-probably-didnt-get-the-joke
I just had a “conversation” with a student, where I suggested that she uses ego to support her growth.

From her answers it has become clear that “using ego” is not a commonplace conversation, and that it needs instruction.

So let’s see what ego is, and what it isn’t.

Ego is a lot like a kitchen knife: you can use it for good, for useful, or for harm… kill with it. You can also use it to clean it under your nails… somewhat useful, but not the right tool…

You can also call it bad, and ban it from your house. ((It is also a lot like a nail. It concentrates the energy so it can go through thick planks
