The how of life… the school that you haven’t graduated from

how-you-do-workbook

Remember T. Harv Eker and his famous saying: How you do anything is how you do everything!?

This article is about that “how”… the all important, life defining, success defining how.

In this article, you and your life is considered a “business”… thriving or failing or stagnating.

If you are human your mind suggests that you already know everything…

If you think you know everything… and I bet you do… consider that in the “how” department, how you know, how you do, how you react, you are a babe in the woods… You know next to nothing.

Why is this?

Because, for some misguided reason, you consider learning a “what” activity…

What is in common, what is a shared characteristic among people who become worth a damn?

libraryThere is not much in common. It is not talent. It is not ethnicity. Not personality. Not schooling. Not religious affiliation.

The one common characteristic I have found is books. People who become worth a damn are readers.

Even more importantly than being a reader: the most important commonality is when they started to read.

I just read in Wikipedia about Howard Zinn:

Both parents were factory workers with limited education when they met and married, and there were no books or magazines in the series of apartments where they raised their children. Zinn’s parents introduced him to literature by sending ten cents plus a coupon to the New York Post for each of the 20 volumes of Charles Dickens’ collect

The two types of “getting things done” systems… and what people really do

To-Do List Tasks Clipboard Checkmark Words Remember GoalsI have always liked getting things done. Why? Because everything that doesn’t get done is like an energetic attachment, like a ball and chain on your ankle, slows you down, and prevents you from soaring… having a good time, feeling free and unencumbered.

I don’t like those feelings, so I learn, test, experiment with methods that allow me to be free.

I even like to be lighter in weight because I don’t like to be heavy in any way, including physically.

I handle problems, issues, doubts, the same way… handle them so the weights can disappear.

Nicht Normale… as my parents used to say. Not your normal child… lol. And not your normal adult.

The Juice Exercise: what gives you “juice” in life?

what-makes-life-juicyI have been coaching people for many years now. The goal was always to take people on a journey to become their best Self.

Now, the task is easier when someone knows who they are. When someone has a Self.

Most people don’t. They have a persona for each group they interact with, the family persona, the student persona, the friend, the gossiper, the entertainer, the this and the that.

Those personas (roles you play) are not you. They were created by a perceived demand in the circumstances, a perceived demand in the environment.

They leave you empty, they leave you being jerked by the

The map of consciousness… in practice: climbing the tree of life

fledglingsI am often asked to map out the path to raising your vibration, raising your consciousness, and become a full fledged human being.

The first step to any journey is to find out where you are at now.

As I muscle test people’s vibration… as I am merging my senses with theirs, feeling their feelings, I feel their overall relationship to life. I feel it stronger than they feel it… like a tool that puts your heartbeat on loudspeaker.

Most people give me feedback, saying “spot on” if they are from England, and then follow my first steps to feel better.

A different way to look at priorities

prioritiesI just had a flash… A big bang.

We all have projects, and we all give it lip service, but don’t really do it… don’t really pursue our projects.

So, when a student of mine said: she needed to set priorities, I sent her this

I like the sound of setting priorities, but what is the principle of choosing priorities… what is the goal, the context of your life, that if you don’t achieve it, you’ll have regrets when you die?

Then it hit me: unless you have the context of your entire life and what you would regret, right bef

You decide: mind candy or good teaching?

Life is a game. This is your strategy guide

Cover-shallow-1024x626Real life is the game that – literally – everyone is playing. But it can be tough. This is your guide.

Basics

You might not realise, but real life is a game of strategy. There are some fun mini-games – like dancing, driving, running, and sex – but the key to winning is simply managing your resource

Lovely Mind Candy: The problem isn’t that life is unfair – it’s your broken idea of fairness

If-life-was-fair-2Article is by Oliver Emberton

Unless you’re winning, most of life will seem hideously unfair to you.

he truth is, life is just playing by different rules.

The real rules are there. They actually make sense. But they’re a bit more complicated, and a lot less comfortable, which is why most people never manage to learn them.

Let’s try.

Rule #1: Life is

The most difficult capacity to master brings the most benefits… of course

validation invalidation bilocation capacityAccording to Malcolm Gladwell: life skills, social skills, winning skills you learn through living with people who use them.

My mother didn’t have them, and my brothers, especially my younger brother didn’t get them…

I did get some from my father: my father came from deep… mother died of starvation, he was bounced between families, getting an education without going to school, walking from one country to the other to save his skin…

I didn’t see any of

In life you are either a nerd or you are a floater

watch the movie gattacaAre you a nerd? ((One description I found on the internet is this: a NERD is an individual of vast intelligence and curiosity coupled with a natural knack for academics and discovery. You not only appreciate technology, biology, and all the other ‘ology’s – you know what they mean and how they work, too! While Geeks are busy flooding comic-cons and using the internet while pretending to know how it works, you are busy coding the damn internet and earning your Masters or Doctorate (if you don’t already have it/both). Of course t
