Changing your brain: can it change your life?

Changing your brain: can it change your life? I say it can… Part of it is the Hero program that I also call the GABA program.

WTF, right? What does GABA have to do with anything? It sounds unlikely… even if you know what GABA is… but it does.

There are two important brain centers in this regard: beliefs, convictions, worldview… that unless it changes, unless the beliefs, convictions, worldview can change, your actions and your attitudes will remain the same.

And because your actions are what produce everything that you ever wanted… and if you don’t like what you have produced, then you are sh!t out of luck… a

The Inner Authority that you don’t have but could…

Reality.

Nothing is wrong: as long as reality works the way reality works, all is well… even if it rains on your parade, even if you hate doing your morning walk trudging through mud, even if you are not prepared like I wasn’t.

How to fight the rise of evil, how to be untouched by it?

evil is risingThe rise of evil and what to do about it?

A student of mine sent me a link to a youtube video.

I put aside ego and watched it. The video was eye-opening.

It showed how someone’s worldview, value system can be shifted rapidly… within a few months or years. And how dangerous that is.

That the Trump era’s biggest accomplishment was/is that mass murder looks normal, and complimenting a woman on her dress or beauty looks outrageously aggressive, maybe even criminal.

That one character in the Harry Potter books, Remus, went to fight against t

Do NOT set ambitious goals… sounds counter cultural? Of course, what else did you expect?

If the caterpillar planned to become a butterfly, there would be no more butterflies.

In the famous marshmallow experiment by Walter Mischel. He said that the 30% of the kids that didn’t eat the marshmallow, didn’t even look at the marshmallow. They kept doing other things, keeping their eyes off the marshmallow. Consciously, intentionally, purposefully.

I have read a lot about that experiment, I have even written about it, but I didn’t know that the “winners” avoided loo

Meditation: separate yourself from the mind, body and emotions

hydroswissI have started the Osho meditation series with Day One.

Lots of talk… very meditative for me. Participants complained that there was no meditation.

When you meditate, that doesn’t mean there is silence outside. The silence is inside. When you meditate it doesn’t mean you cannot listen to someone talk: it only means you listen and hear it, but not through the busy mind, that compares, argues, tries to understand, criticizes and judges. No, the mind simply allows it to be, allows it in, in a meditative state.

It is like when you are in the shower. The mind doesn’t argue with every drop of water… and you can get wet without the mind interfering.

One of the most important pre-requisite to meditation is to KNOW

What is yours to do? Your ONE THING, right now…

do what is yours to doDo what is yours to do… and all will be well.

This is a big question… as if there were some pre-ordained vocation of activity each of us should do.

But I think that it is misleading… and a bad idea to consider.

Everything is done by the WHO you are… and the who is very important in the number of, the kinds of things and how someone does them

So in my humble opinion every person’s number one job, every parent’s number one job is to help the person become more of who they can become.

If I measured on a scale of 1 to 100 where you are in that regard, I probably would be driven ou

How we end up marrying the wrong people

Prince Charles, Prince of Wales with his fiance Lady Diana SI am against marriage.

Anyone who is FOR the Original Design has to be against marriage. Marriage is a contract. It is a legal institution mandating that you don’t change, that you don’t seek your own path, that you enslave yourself to the other, to the shared.

Until this past Wednesday I believed that it’s society that wants you to be enslaved, that wants you to forgo [note]for·go

Integration: the orchestra that is you

orchestra harmony or cacophony

Osho says: Man ordinarily is a crowd.

No man ordinarily is one, but many. And that’s why there is so much noise within – many voices, many faces – and a constant quarrel. One part wants to do one thing. Another part is simply against it and wants to do something else. It is a miracle how we go on managing to keep ourselves together. Otherwise we are constantly falling apart. There is no center. The master is missing.

There are only servants, and each servant is trying to claim to be the master.

For a moment each servant sits on the throne, proclaims himself the master, and in that moment you think, “This is the master.”

When there is anger, anger becomes the master, but soo

Are you holding your breath? Republished

holding your breathI never thought much about breathing… after all: who does?

But, because of my insomnia, because of my inability to fall asleep, because of the horrible nightmares, I took a class on relaxation techniques, and it was a breathing technique.

I don’t even know if I was just making it my own and changed the instructions, but the “my version” worked fairly well for decades. I took deep breaths and combined and made continuous the the in-breath and the out-breath… After a minute or two I got so lightheaded, that I drifted of to sleep.

Worked like a knockout… literally… lol.

But since I have raised my vibration, my body is not willing to participate in anything as drastic as that…

The reason breathing came up is not in

Is the Law of Attraction true? Maybe… for some people… but definitely not for you

shameI just hung up with my friend… we talk every Sunday morning, and have been for seven years now.

He is one of my failure stories. [note]Why is he a failure story after seven years? Because also he is a good listener, he is an avoider: he doesn’t do anything I teach… and his results are consistent with that “doing nothing.”[/note]

I have some of those. I have many quitter stories, I have even more testimonials, which are the stories of “flash in the pan” successes, and a few genuine success stories.

My results are not much better than others; the only difference, probably, is that I have a few genuine success stories of lasting alteration of being… lasting alteration of consciousness.

Most teachers encourage sharing of successes. ALL those success
