Tikkun or fixing… happiness or misery… the invisible dynamic

Tikkun is a Hebrew word, means correction.

I am yet to hear a Westerner, or an Easterner use the word: correction. The world, nowadays, is into “fixing”. ((In your vocabulary, each word should mean what it actually mean… If you use words that are close, but mean something different, you can see that in your Starting Point Measurements, in the vocabulary measure… your number will be low… signifying that for you everything is the same as everything else, except that not always… a low ability to differentiate between things. You’ll misinterpret what you hear/read, you’ll misunderstand things, follow things poorly, you’ll have a lot of pain and little happiness.))

Fixing is an ugly world, immediately signaling what the speaker sees, that there is something wrong and it urgently needs to be fixed, because it is wrong that it is. Reactive.

But when emotions run high, the cone of vision narrows, your intelligence plummets, and stupid as the stupid does, your fixing creates new problems, that are the next thing to fix.

Compare that with the approach of correction… course correction… returning to the path of true north. Continue reading

Cats leave paw prints on your heart… Are you most like a dog or a cat?

I have a magnet on my refrigerator door that says: Cats leave paw prints on your heart.

And they do. You remember your pets fondly… and often.

I remember one woman, often, and fondly, even though she was an enigma to me.

We met at the psych ward and spent some time, every day, together. I met her husband, son, and mother in law… whom I knew from work: she was an acoustic engineer advising me when I was the architect for acoustic practice rooms for the Hungarian Academy of Music.

My friend was in the psych board because she could not sleep. I was there because I didn’t want to live. Continue reading

If you can’t beat them… join them

Warning: lots of footnotes in this article!

I am Jewish…

Jewish people are not genetically smarter than non-Jews… In fact, no ethnic groups are genetically smarter than others. And yet, certain groups test better both on tests and in life. ((Depending on the learning culture of different communities, the IQ numbers differ tremendously. But, in my humble opinion, when you take the child out of the environment, and put them into a different environment, their abilities, their IQ will match the new environment standard… so it is not innate, and not genetic.

This is what is meant by: “all men created equal…” genetically. Not smarter than they were when they left the Savannah of Africa, not genetically. No, with regards to capabilities, it is all in the “nurture”, not in “nature”.

This is the results of my thousands of muscle tests over the years.

Nature or nurture?

Now, you may ask, why is the average IQ of Chinese and Korean people, for example, higher than yours? Why are they so much better at Math? My hunch is, that if and when the minimum education, being able to read and write, and calculate takes tremendous effort, like for the Chinese or the Korean, the plastic brain of the young child will be able to learn more, and protest less than YOUR brain… 26 characters of 4,000 Chinese characters… they got smarter. And hardier. With a lot higher TLB.

Chinese clients of mine who can’t read or write in Chinese are not smarter than you… Does this make it clearer?))

The kind of smarts Jewish or, for example, Chinese or Korean, people manifest is LEARNED.

The role of process in becoming a genius… process is about the order of things…

Notice that you want to do things out of order…

…for example: fix something that you don’t understand what it is, you just KNOW that it’s wrong. Put the cart in front of the horse. Never bother to find the cause… the real cause of anything… the laws of nature.

You may be doing all the steps that can produce the results you want, but what happens if and when you are doing them out of order? Or you don’t give enough time to each step to perform its magic, out of greed or hunger or impatience?

You’ll lose time… you’ll lose money… and you’ll lose your faith. Continue reading

Did we crack the key to happiness yesterday? Wrote the first chapter in the manual for a happy life?

Life is a puzzle, life is a mystery.

Advice on how to be happy is on 360 million pages, and yet seeing a genuinely happy person is very rare.

All morning I have Hungarian cabaret type songs in my head… One asks a question: Daddy, how does the big elephant go into the lion’s cave when the lion invited him for tea? If he only puts his trunk in, that is very neglectful, because by the time he siphons up his tea, the lion will bite down his trunk… lol.

The second… what I hope for our children and grandchildren is to be free, to not bow down to anyone, to become a human being… weep weep.

Yesterday’s “Talk to Me” was the best we have ever had. Small in numbers, diverse in cultural affiliation. Continue reading

What can the Nobel Prize winning physicist’s story teach you?

What can the Nobel Prize winning physicist’s story teach you? OR What did Frank Kern learn the hard way?

First, before I get into the story itself, let’s ponder the meaning of teaching so we are on the same page, shall we?

As someone who attempts to teach, let me tell you what it’s like for me: I find a thousand different ways to say, demonstrate, frame what I want to teach. I invent thousand and one stories, I find books that hint on what I want to teach, I sing it, I make it a comedy, make it a tragedy, I make you read, I make practice activating your eye muscles and the related brain areas…

And if I do it long enough with enough enthusiasm, I may get a few people to learn what I teach… but most of the time it is a real uphill battle.

So what I mean to convey: teaching doesn’t equal learning. Continue reading

A life you can love can be built at any age… if you keep some simple rules

In search of quick transformation…

house of cards. the bottom card is the linchpinThis is a long article, first showing what doesn’t work, why, and then it takes you to what does…

One of the things about humans is arrogance.

Arrogance is not what you think it is… arrogance is really an attitude where you assume superioriry where you have none…

Which is, in an ordered universe… EVERYWHERE.

But you, in your arrogance, ignore that you were born into some already existing order… and you behave like you can do whatever you goddamn want… and expect that it is going to work. ((You are even taught techniques for this by stupid or predatory teachers and the church.)) Continue reading

Intuitive, counter-intuitive… how we use “intuition” to make everything worse

What we call intuition isn’t… but WHAT do we call intuition?

The state of the current humanity is chaos. Everyone has an opinion, just like everyone has an a-hole.

So far so good, Sophie… you groan. But from this, honoring one’s opinion as important, comes the mischief: everyone insists that their version of reality… aka their opinion, is the real reality. ((Your “intuitive” actions will be a conclusion of some mental process, that is most likely based on some certainty that is wrong, sometimes dead wrong, rendering you, your projects, the planet dead.))

Same way about what words mean… words like intuition. Continue reading

Why you are not, in fact cannot be curious? Are you screwed now?

I have decided to re-read the Feelings book, and this time make it a study, memorize the names of the different needs, take a more earnest approach to learning the “language” of the machine that is need-based.

I am feeling a mix of fear and excitement. where? in my stomach, expanding to my chest.

My plan is to read/study the book is to study it at the beginning of my evening reading session for about 10 minutes, and then switch to my “other” book… whatever book I am reading in the evening at the time… currently it is “Curious” by Ian Leslie.

I am reading Curious for the second time, and this time it is, given the chance, going to change something in me and consequently in how I teach, how i guide, and what I expect YOU to do.
